    This lesson will review the main theme of the book 'Hoot' by Carl Hiaasen. Find out how the author gets his message across in a story about a few kids trying to save some owls.   Hoot is a book about Roy, a middle school boy who one day sees a strange boy running past his bus where Roy is looking through the window of.
